Sharing My Journey
I want to share with you a bit of who I am so you know why I have such a desire to pull off another Internet Ministry Conference. I had the distinct honor and pleasure of working for Gospel Communications International before my latest position. While working there, I had the opportunity to head up the 2007 and 2008 Internet Ministry Conferences.
For those who don’t know, the Internet Ministry Conference (IMC) has been around (with different names) since 1995. I have had the opportunity to attend many of these over the years and have been impressed with how Gospel Communications handled them with such excellence and care. It is my deep desire to continue that tradition, if God continues to open the doors.
I have always had and continue to love to come along side ministries and help them utilize the Internet in the best possible ways. God has blessed me with over 15 years of Internet experience. The first 12 years with RBC Ministries (www.rbc.org), two great years with Gospel Communications, and most recently as Internet Marketing Manager with Zondervan Publishers.
Along with these great experiences, I have been running a business on the side called DK Digital Media. God seems to be leading me to expand this side business to include consulting and training for ministries. With that expansion comes a new name, Reconnect Productions and the hope that God will continue to use me to teach ministries what He has allowed me to learn about the Internet and using it as effective ministry tool.

I’m glad you introduced yourself and your passion on this post. If you would allow me to do the same. I moved to Austin, TX 7 years ago and planted a church. I recently resigned and had the privlege of handing it over to my best friend. For the last 3.5 years I’ve worked for a custom website builder that markets to ministries. And to date I have just accepted a postition at a church in Olympia, WA that wants me to begin a online campus. You and I must talk my friend. mikebarker35@gmail.com
